And the girls have it!

We’ve been waiting for several months now to break the Smith family tie. Who would win – boys or girls? At 6:05am Sunday, May 19th, Talia Anne Smith made her official entrance into the world and proclaimed the girls the victors!

Hello world! 8lbs 11oz, 20.5 in. long!

Hello world! 8lbs 11oz, 20.5 in. long!

We are all doing well, and are so thankful for all of your prayers for health and safety during my pregnancy. Makaylah, Sophia, Isaiah and Nehemiah are all in love with their new sister! The boys don’t seem to be taking their “loss” to badly.

Talia is a Hebrew name (you can hear the pronunciation here, just click on the one that says “t AA l – y uh”) and means “dew from heaven.” Anne means “grace.” Throughout the last year we’ve been reminded so often of the many beautiful ways God blesses us with His grace, new each morning, completely undeserved and unmerited, but consistent and dependable, just like the dew each dawn.

We pray that as Talia grows she will know this truth for herself, and be a living reminder of it to our family and the many other lives we know she will touch!
